Children with Special Health Care Needs - Seizures

Event Description:

This training, developed by the North Carolina Child Care Health and Safety Resource Center, covers Seizures in Child Care. During this training, participants will learn to understand and recognize different types of seizures and common triggers, the information included in a seizure action plan, how to identify care team members who support children with seizures, steps for seizure first aid (including how to administer emergency medications such as diazepam rectal gel), strategies for including a child with seizures in early care and education, and ways to identify community resources and support. Early educators who successfully complete this training will receive 2 Credit Hours.
