Infant Toddler Safe Sleep and SIDS Reduction in Child Care

Event Description:

During this training early educators will learn the risks for SUIDs (Sudden Unexpected Infant Deaths) and how to prevent them. They will receive information on the causes of sleep related infant deaths, and the external stressors that can contribute to an unsafe sleep environment. Additionally, they will learn the rules and best practices related to safe sleep for infants and toddlers, how to respond to an unresponsive infant, and resources available for those who are experiencing grief from a SIDS death.
